International Enterprise Singapore (IES) organised an iAdvisory Seminar Series – “Doing Business in Middle East” at the Intercontinental Hotel. Singapore Business Federation (SBF) supported the full day event with marketing effort to our members and the involvement of our CEO as one of the key speakers at the seminar. He was there to deliver a talk on the overview of the Middle East Market from the business perspective” with findings and experiences drawn from SBF’s engagement with the Middle East and North Africa markets.
From the quick show of hands initiated by Mr. Teng during the talk, it was noteworthy in this session that only a minority from the group of the SMEs present were already doing business in the MENA region. The remaining participants were new to the market and were there to find out more about the opportunities in the region.
The iadvisory seminar consisted of a series of presentations on the various topics of doing business in the Middle East markets, with the general overview of the market to give the participants background and technical information with topics such as legal & regulatory, taxation, manpower, distribution, etc. Mr. Teng was part of the 7 speakers that was invited to partake and spoke at the seminar and the event was attended by more than 150 participants from the business community. The seminar concluded with a business clinic session with the various speakers and SBF was represented by the AMEA team to take note of business interest from the attendees.
