The seminar on "Spotlight on Libya" was part of the "Post Mission Information Series', with the aim of sharing the findings of our missions with greater pool of members, in particularly with companies which did not have the opportunities and/or resources join our missions. Aside from sharing practical knowledge and updated information gained through business mission trips abroad organised by SBF, such sessions would also helped to build up market awareness especially on those emerging countries which are less familiar by Singapore companies.
This session was organised as a follow-up activity of our successful mission to Libya back in May 2008 in conjunction with the visit of Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. The speakers present include both our Knowledge Partners, WongPartnership and Ameen Talib and Associates together with Qatar National Bank and EBIS to present to our participants on the various aspect of legal, financial, accounting, cultured and information aspects of doing business in Libya. Close to 40 participants attended the session, where it allowed them to receive first hand update on the country' economic opportunities.
