It is bordered by Algeria to the west and Libya to the southeast. It is the northernmost country on the African continent, and the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range. Around forty percent of the country is composed of the Sahara desert, with much of the remainder consisting of particularly fertile soil and a 1300 km coastline

Export to Tunisia represent over 82.09% of total trade to the tune of S$20.37 million while imports figure was at S4.44 million in 2007.

  Economic Overview
 

Tunisia has a diverse economy, ranging from agriculture, mining, manufacturing, petroleum products and tourism. It also has one of Africas and the Middle East highest GDP (PPP) per capital.

 

The other few sectors are agricultural, industry and services. The industrial sector is mainly made up of clothing and footwear manufacturing, production of car parts, and electric machinery.
